Future Kindergartener Backpack Giveaway

The Wilmington Memorial Library and the Wilmington Public Schools encourage all parents who have a child entering kindergarten in the fall of 2013 to sign up for a library card. As an incentive, future kindergarteners will be eligible to win a backpack filled with books and school supplies purchased by the Friends of the Library.   Just come to the Children’s Room, sign up for a library card, check out a book and enter for a chance to win.   Children who already have a library card can also enter by checking out a book and completing a raffle entry.  The winner will be announced on May10. The library also has many books to help parents prepare their child for kindergarten including two book kits filled with resources for  beginning kindergarteners.
