Merlot Is A Movie Star Cat

Just look at this gorgeous face. Merlot is our movie star cat - with her attention seeking ways, even in the midst of another cat’s photo shoot, here comes Merlot to block the camera’s view. At about one year old, sweet Merlot is on the small side, all black with a dab of white on her chest, her thick sable-like coat can be addictive to the touch. Whenever the opportunity arises, Merlot seeks out a lap, just wanting to be near. Her foster Mom describes her as “simply wonderful, with the best personality”. Merlot’s story- she entered into a cat trap meant for another, was not spayed and was never claimed. Merlot is fine with being picked up and will approach even strangers for attention. We get a sense she wasn’t handled a lot, because she is a little cautious with being touched all over, but every day her trust grows, such a joy to witness. Merlot has medium energy, on the quiet side and just learning to play. Her roommates are two laid back cats that she likes to be the boss of, which they are happy to oblige. Like a fine wine, pour your love into her and Merlot will just get better with age.
