The Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) introduced a new online catalog last week with its migration to a new computer system called Evergreen. Patrons have informed us that there are some features that are missing in the new catalog that they liked having in the old catalog, such as, knowing where they were in a hold queue and being able to alphabetize the titles in their book bag. Please be assured that the new catalog is a “work in progress.” Larry Rungren MVLC Executive Director notes “among the first improvements you’ll see in the coming months is the introduction of a sleeker and more user-friendly catalog to replace what you’re currently using. From there, you’ll see a gradual growth in what you can do through the catalog.”
