Autism is also known as autism spectrum disorders.Children with autism have difficulty with communicating, social skills and /or dealing with the world around them. According to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta,1 out of every 110 children will be diagnosed with the spectrum.
According to the Center director Jennifer Spear, Business Manager Viashalli Mitta, and Program Coordinator, " We chose to celebrate Autism Awareness month because, the key to helping children with autism is early detection and therapy, and since the center's charges ages start as as young as 6 weeks it was a perfect fit for our center to host this event. Also according to Spear " My son was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, when he was 5 years old so this cause is dear to my heart"
