Let today's snow inspire you to write a poem for the library's Annual Poetry Contest

Weather” is the theme for this year’s annual Poetry Contest. Some suggestions for your poem are snowstorms, snowflakes, snow days, hurricanes, thunder and lightning, rainy days, sunshine, sunny days, rainbows, etc. Deadline for submission of poems is Saturday, March 30. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges in the following six categories: adult, high school, middle school, elementary school grades 4 and 5, grades 2 and 3, and K to grade 1. Prizes will be awarded by the Friends of the Library. Winners and honorable mention recipients will be invited to read their poems and receive prizes/certificates at Poetry Night on Tuesday, April 23.  Applications with the contest rules are at the library and on the library’s website at www.wilmlibrary.org.
