Wilmington Sons Of Italy Annual Easter Bunny Breakfast

   This  past Sunday over  300  people,  gathered  at the  Knights  of Columbus hall in Wilmington, to enjoy what has  become an annual  event in Wilmington, The Sons  of Italy's Easter Bunny Breakfast. All  present  feasted on  a breakfast  of eggs, hash browns, waffles, bacon and  sausage, along with an assorted candy  filled Easter egg or two. Of course  what would an Easter Bunny Breakfast  be with out the guest of honor the  Easter Bunny , who stopped by despite his busy  schedule,  to  have breakfast, and take  pictures with all the  good  boys and girls  present.

  The breakfast  is one of the major fundraisers. All monies collected  from the breakfast, the raffle,and the  pictures with  the Easter Bunny according to  Kevin Ciara  who chaired the even ,will go to the Relay For Life, the annual  cancer walk held in June. Last year this organization donated over $1700.00 to this cause.

 The Sons of Italy are a nation wide  fraternal  organizations made up of people  of Italian Heritage, who s purpose is to keep alive the rich Italian heritage of its members, educate  all in the  contributions  of Italian Americans, to this country, and to help the community and its  people  through  its many philanthropic, gifts as well as scholarships
