Wilmington Farmers Market Thanks Community

As we end our second season, thanks are due.

Wilmington Farmers Market has just finished its second season. As we start to look toward 2013, we’d like to take a moment to thank the Town of Wilmington, its residents and our vendors.

From the preseason licensing process straight through to the end of the season, the Town government has been consistently supportive. We realize that Wilmington would not have a farmers market without that generosity of spirit and we genuinely appreciate the Board of Selectmen’s willingness to include us on an already very busy agenda.

We would also like to acknowledge the help and support of the Board of Health, the Fourth of July Committee, Wilmington Public Schools, the Wilmington Memorial Library, the Book Store Next Door, and our vendors. Thank you all.

Thank you to the many residents who volunteered at the market, put signs out on your lawns, liked us on Facebook, and came to shop.

Thank you to the local businesses and entertainers who donated money, time for demonstrations and performances at the market, and wall space for posters.

Thank you to Wilmington’s nonprofit organizations for coming to the market to educate our town about all the good things you do.

We would most especially like to thank our newly retired Town Manager, Michael Caira. His gentle guidance has been invaluable to us from the very beginning in 2010 right through to the end of this season. We will miss him very much, but we thank him for his many years of service to the town and we wish him a very happy retirement.

With Gratitude,
