Busy Week Ahead for Wildcat Athletic Teams

Though Monday is a slow day for sports in Wilmington, things pick up from there.

The week starts off slowly for the Wildcats, turns into a jam packed week of games for Wilmington teams.

Just one team is in action to begin the month is the girls volleyball team. The JV and varsity teams both play on the road against Tewksbury. First up is the JV squad at 4:30 p.m. before the varsity hits the floor at 5:30 p.m.

Things get a bit busier on Tuesday, beginning at 8 a.m. as the golf team travels to Mt. Hood to participate in the Middlesex League Gold Shoot Out. Later in the day the cross country teams travel to Watertown at 3:45 p.m. while the boys soccer team is in Belmont at the same time.

A pair of Wildcat teams are at home on Tuesday. The girls soccer team plays Belmont at 3:45 p.m. while the field hockey team plays at Alumni Stadium against Burlington at 6 p.m.

The volleyball team welcomes Burlington to town on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. while Wilmington golfers are on the road for a 3:30 p.m. match.

Thursday is another busy day as the field hockey team plays Belmont at home beginning at 3:45 p.m. and the boys soccer team hosts Arlington at 3:45 p.m. The girls soccer team, meanwhile, is on the road for a 3:45 p.m. tilt versus Arlington.

Wilmington's schedule continues on Friday with a home golf match versus Stoneham at 3:30 p.m. and a volleyball home match at 4 p.m. against Belmont. 

The football team closes out the week's schedule as it hopes to improve on its 1-3 record with a 7 p.m. kick off in Woburn.
