Cat Burglar Was Just A Cat: Wilmington Police Log For March 5

WILMINGTON, MA -- The following are items recorded by Wilmington Police Department. It is a sample of the types of calls the Wilmington Police responded to on Monday, March 5, 2018 An arrest does not indicate a conviction. And all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

12:59 am: Police responded to a report of a fight at Sonny's Mobil on Lowell Street and issued summons to the following for assault and battery:

• Claudio William De Souza, 38, of Lowell
• Guilherme Cunha Padilha, 28, of Lowell

1:29 am: While responding to a disturbance on Lowell Street, police arrested Marcelo Vieceli, 37, of Lowell, on outstanding warrants.

7:16 am: Caller believe someone is in her house as she hears water running upstairs. Officer walk-through with home owner, checks out okay. May have been cat.

7:52 am: Manager at Dunkin' Donuts on Ballardville Street reports parties creating a disturbance. Parties were calm when officer arrived.

10:45 am: Check of parties kneeling behind plaza on Lowell Street. They were taking pictures.

3:01 pm: Spoke to three middle school students walking on the train tracks.

3:33 pm: Issued a citation to Lisa M. Thomas, 36, of Wilmington, for failure to inspect vehicle and unlicensed operation.

3:35 pm: Four 911 calls from Wilmington Pediatrics. They recently updated their Fax machine to dial and 1 automatically when sending faxes but employees keep entering 9 and 1 automatically.

7:28 pm: Vehicle struck dog at Burlington Street and Dell Avenue. Dog being transported to animal hospital.
