Could Get Noisy Near Commuter Rail Station This Weekend
Rock drilling set for this weekend might reach your ears.
WILMINGTON, MA — The MBTA and MassDOT wants to let you know the Positive Train Control infrastructure installation will take place this weekend along the Lowell Line in the vicinity of the Wilmington Commuter Rail Station near Burlington Ave.
What is the PTC? It is federally mandated, and it is noisy. The work will be down Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., and due to the tools necessary, you may hear it, depending on where you are. Rock drilling isn't a peaceful undertaking.
For further information regarding the PTC work schedule, visit the MBTA PTC program website.
