Crunch Time Arrives for Wildcat Sports Teams
There is just one full week of regular season action remaining as the playoffs are rapidly approaching.

There is just one full week of regular season play for the majority of Wilmington sports teams, and several Wildcat squads are using the upcoming days as postseason prepation.
First on Monday, the playoff ready field hockey team welcomes Wakefield to town, the girls volleyball team plays a Breast Cancer Awareness Game against Tewksbury at 5:30 p.m. and the girls soccer team hopes to improve its playoff positioning against Wakefield at 6 p.m.
The boys soccer team, which is also playoff bound, travels to take on Wakefield beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Tuesday's slate is significantly lighter. The boys and girls cross country teams are the only squads in action on the day. The Wildcats travel to Burlington for a 3:45 p.m. race.
On Wednesday, the boys soccer team is the only Wildcat unit taking its home field. The Wildcats welcome Burlington to town for a 6 p.m. game. The girls soccer team plays in Burlington at 3:30 p.m. and the field hockey team takes to the road to face the same opponent at 6:30 p.m.

Wilmington's field hockey team is the only team hitting the field on Thursday. The Wildcats host Lowell beginning at 6 p.m.
The week concludes for varsity teams on Friday as the girls soccer team hosts Shawsheen Tech at 6 p.m. The girls volleyball team is on the road at 4 p.m. in Burlington while the football team hopes to bounce back from a loss to Stoneham as they take the gridiron at 7 p.m. in Melrose.
