Election 2018: Wilmington Voter's Guide

Patch has everything you need to know to vote in Saturday's town election in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, MA -- The town's annual, municipal election is on Saturday, April 28. Polls are open from 8 am to 8 pm. To confirm your status as a registered voter and for questions not answered in this guide, call the Town Clerk's office at 978-658-2030.

To see if you are registered to vote in this year's town election, see the Secretary of State's Website. Use the Secretary of State's precinct finder to figure out which precinct you live in, which will determine where you vote. Precincts One and two vote at the Boutwell School, precincts three and four vote at the Wildwood School and precincts five and six vote at Town Hall.

The complete list of candidates is below. Candidates running for reelection are listed in boldface. If the candidates name contains a hyperlink, clicking on that will direct you to a candidate profile of that candidate. Patch asked for information and position statements from all candidates in contested races. If a candidate did not respond, their name does not link to a candidate's profile.

Registered voters are also encouraged to attend the Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, May 5 in the Wilmington High School Auditorium beginning at 10:30 a.m. Voters will be asked to approve articles such as the Town's operating budget, capital expenditures, amendments to the zoning by-laws and the naming of the auditorium for former Superintendent of Schools, Joanne Benton.

The Warrant Booklet containing the recommendations of the Finance Committee and Planning Board were scheduled for delivery the week of April 16.

In addition, a Special Town Meeting will be held on the same day to vote on petitioned articles to purchase property located on 333 Andover Street, commonly known as the Sciarappa Farm, and to amend the zoning by-laws by eliminating multi-family housing in the Centeral Business and Neighborhood Mixed Use Districts.
