Beginning Microsoft Word 2010

Sign up for this three-part course on Microsoft Word 2010 taught by the library's Technology Librarian, Curtis Wyant.

Participants will receive hands on training using laptops purchased by the Friends of the Library. Session One: Beginning Microsoft Word (March 28). Learn how to create new documents, explore templates, use the file menu and toolbars, adjust margins, format text size, color, spacing and alignment, and save and print your documents.

Session Two: Intermediate Microsoft Word (April 4). Edit text using cut, copy and paste, change views, modify headers and footers, use spellcheck and grammar check, customize print options and print preview, adjust borders and shading and insert pictures and shapes.

Session Three: Advanced Microsoft Word (April 11). Learn advanced page set up, create custom document templates and toolbars and format columns using advanced tabs. Organize data using tables, insert special characters and create custom formatting styles. Use mailmerge to print envelopes and mailing labels.
