What is Islam?
To foster a broader understanding between faiths, St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church will feature a three part Lenten series about Islam during March and April 2011.
Each session will contain a question and answer period open to the audience.
The series will include: a history of Muhammad’s life; a review of the Quran; and a summary of Sunnah (Islamic culture). Consideration will be given to the Quran’s relationship to Christianity’s and Judaism’s scriptures and beliefs; current misunderstandings about Islam; and Islam’s supposed links to terrorism.
