MCAS: Access & Achievement for Students with Disabilities - A Workshop for Parents and Professionals

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) is a tool to measure progress in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks or general curriculum.   A presenter from the Federation for Children with Special Needs will conduct this workshop to help parents understand how their child with a disability can participate in MCAS to demonstrate in a meaningful way what they’ve learned.  Discussion will include standard and non-standard accommodations and alternate assessments. The Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is hosting this workshop.

Federation workshops are free and open to the public.  You are welcome to attend any workshop in or outside of your immediate community. Questions regarding this workshop should be directed to Martha O’Brien at fjo316@gmail.com.
