"STUDENTS TEAM WITH LOCAL BUSINESS FOR SAFE PROMS"
WILMINGTON - February 21, 2012 - The Cleaner Spot of Wilmington and the Wilmington High School SADD program is hosting a prom fundraiser event on Thursday February 23, from 4pm - 7pm. Open to all local high school students attending junior or senior prom, the event will feature tuxedo fittings coupled with food, music, and prizes -- including tickets to a Celtics game.
"This is the third year we have partnered with Wilmington HIgh School to promote safe proms for students", states Carmon Cunningham, owner of The Cleaner Spot. Student volunteers from SADD will help host the event. Drawings for raffle prizes donated from local businesses will be given. This year, The Cleaner Spot will donate $5 for each tux rental to the SADD program.
The Cleaner Spot is a full service, drive-thu dry cleaner and tailor, specializing in environmentally friendly cleaning, alterations, shoe repair, and tuxedo rentals. Open seven days a week, it is located in Wilmington Crossing Shopping Plaza, at 209 Main Street in Wilmington.
