This workshop will address the significant changes in special education practice that are a result of the state’s new anti- bullying prevention law, focusing on both school-wide efforts to create safe and supportive school environments for students with disabilities and new statutory provisions that require IEP Teams to address bullying of students with disabilities. Learn about the new law requiring school-wide efforts to create safe and supportive schools, as well as ways to address bullying in your child’s IEP. Parents, professionals, and teens with disabilities will learn specific legal requirements that will assist them in advocating for educational services to meet the needs of students related to bullying.
