The has struggled to see just how good they can be. Friday's match versus Belmont provided firsthand evidence for the Wildcats.

Head coach Meghan Sheehy's charges fought off several momentum swing, won an all important fourth set and went on to win a decisive fifth game to snag 3-2 home win.

Wilmington lost the first frame, 28-26, won the next 25-11, fell 25-20 in the third and bounced back with a 25-21 fourth set win to extend the match.

Belmont appeared ready to run away with the fifth game as they took an 8-5 edge, but Wilmington reeled off eight straight points to go ahead 14-8. The visitors began to claw back, but eventually dropped the set and the match, 15-11.
