I had the great privilege of representing the residents of precinct 3 during my 16 years as state representative and have seen firsthand how passionately the residents of Wilmington care about their town. I know Jesse shares those same passions and beliefs.

Ten years ago Jesse interned on one of my campaigns and I was impressed with his desire to help people, his tenacity, and his work ethic. Shortly after that race I asked Jesse to join my staff at the State House. For four years he worked tirelessly as my district aid and communications director. Jesse could always be counted on the attend community events, meet with constituents and represent my office without fail. His ability to work with people and hear all sides of an issue will make him an asset to the school committee.

Over the years I have also had the pleasure of knowing Jesse as a father. His older son, Lydon, was born while Jesse was still working on my staff, and his younger son, Sawyer, was born shortly after Jesse left for a new position. I have watched him grow as a father and know how deeply he cares for his family. He is invested in making sure Wilmington schools provide the very best education to all of the students in the district. Jesse will be a vocal and effective advocate for all parents.

As a former Wilmington state representative, former boss and good friend, I wholeheartedly support Jesse’s candidacy and ask that you cast your vote for him on April 28th.

Sincerely,

Charles A. Murphy

Burlington, MA

Note: Murphy served as a representative in the Massachusetts Legislature from 1997 to 2012. He is an attorney at the firm of Gibson & Behman in Burlington.
