Get 'Em While They're Hot
Bruins Stanley Cup Champions gear flying off the shelves at Olympia Sports.

Seemingly everyone in New England wants to get their hands on Boston Bruins Stanley Cup gear. Many residents in Wilmington, however, will have to wait.
was among the stores around the region to receive shipments of victory swag on Thursday. Hats and shirts hit the shelves, but they didn’t stay there very long.
Dan Silva, Olympia Sports manager, said the Main Street store received two shipments so far on Thursday. When the first came in early in the day, the hats were sold out in about 10 minutes and the shirts in less than an hour.

Then, around noon, everything was once again sold out within the hour. The store also has a limited supply of just standard Bruins t-shirts because of the high demand.
“We’ll be getting another shipment later today, but we’re not sure what they’ll be sending,” said Silva. “As far upcoming days, it’s still wait and see right now. We’re not sure what the shipments the rest of the week will be giving us.”

Silva said while the extra boost in business is a benefit, it’s not the only reason employees are glad to see the Bruins hoist the cup.
“It’s exciting for business, but we’re also all Bruins fans,” said Silva. “We’re excited to see it happen, and excited to see the parade.”
