Girls Lacrosse Falls to North Reading in Home Finale

Teams played into double overtime last week, but most recent contest wasn't as close.

During its senior game, the girls lacrosse team kept visiting North Reading in check for much of the first half, but allowed a goal with 10 seconds left in the stanza for a 7-3 halftime deficit.

The Hornets built a large lead before the Lady Wildcats found some traction late and eventually fell, 12-7.

Head coach Maura Kee's charges dropped to 4-9 on the year, while North Reading improved to 9-8 for the campaign.
