Girls Lacrosse Powers Past Georgetown on Senior Night
The Wilmington High School girls lacrosse team was tied at halftime, but cruised in the second half for the victory.
The Wilmington High School girls lacrosse team fell behind early, but they went on to score often as they cruised in the second half to a Wednesday victory over visiting Georgetown.
Tied at 7-7 at halftime, the Lady Wildcats assumed control following the intermission. Rachael Mara, Holly Niemiec and Ryan Gautreau all scored multiple times early in the second half to put Wilmington ahead for good.
Despite a slow start to the game, the locals cruised to a 20-12 win that improved their record to 6-9 on the year.
