Gofundme Started in Support of Wilmington Father Diagnosed with Cancer
The campaign has raised over $36,000 in six days.

WILMINGTON, MA — A Gofundme campaign has been started in support of a Father of three in Wilmington who was recently diagnosed with Cancer. The campaign has been started in support of Glen Sargent, who was recently diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, an aggressive form of blood cancer.
According to the Gofundme page, Sargent's treatment course will take upwards of six months with another six months of recovery.
"Anyone who knows Glen knows that he’s the hardest worker on the planet, never asks for help and always puts others first," reads the Gofundme campaign started by Maureen Robinson Adams on behalf of Kathy Sargent."However, right now is our time to take care of him as best we can."

The page further indicates that Glen has been forced to resign from work to undergo his treatments, which will include high-dose in-patient and out-patient chemotherapy treatments as well as stem cell replacement. The page was started to alleviate financial burden on his family of five, two of which are currently in college.
The page is currently trending on Gofundme and has raised $36,756 of its $40,000 goal in six days, as of 12:53 a.m. Thursday.
