Governor Baker Endorses Fasulo In Wilmington Selectmen's Race

The Republican says Fasulo will be "a terrific advocate for smart growth."

WILMINGTON, MA -- Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker threw the weight of his name and his office behind Rob Fasulo in the race for Wilmington Selectmen. In a press release Tuesday, Baker backed Fasulo in his three-way race for one open seat on the board.

"As a longtime resident of Wilmington, Rob Fasulo understands what his community needs to embrace pos- itive change and grow in the future," Baker said. "I’m proud to endorse him for Selectman. He’ll be a terrific advocate for smart growth, responsible fiscal management, and honest government."

The race is largely being contested by Fasulo and Jonathan Eaton, who has been endorsed by the current holder of the seat. A third candidate, Joseph R. Mastrangelo, has been largely quiet during the election season.
