Wilmington girls soccer head coach Sue Hendee selected Luz as captain of this year’s team, which made it to the postseason before a . Hendee is still blown away by the leadership skills Luz showed throughout the season.
“Sarah is one of the best captains I’ve ever had,” said Hendee. “As a player, she had high expectations for herself but never placed blame on others when things may not have gone her way. Her love for the sport of soccer was evident every day of the season.”

Playing sports throughout my life has taught me so much and I value every lesson learned.”

Keane said whatever path Luz takes following high school graduation, he knows what the end result will be.
