Wilmington's Joe Pendenza scored to tie Thursday's Frozen Four semifinal game at 2-2, but Yale eventually nipped UMass Lowell, 3-2, in overtime to advance to the title game.

Just 14 seconds after teammate Riley Wetmore put home the team's first goal, Pendenza ripped home one of his own to knot the score at 2-2.
Yale was too much in the overtime period, however, consistently putting pressure on in the offensive zone and eventually putting home the game-winner in transition to end UML's season in a round it had never been to before.

In total, Yale outshot the River Hawks by a 47-18 margin and the Wilmington product Pendenza put eight of those shots on net.
"They did what we usually do to other teams," said Pendenza, according to the Lowell Sun. "So we got a little taste of our own medicine, kind of ... They played a great game"
