When I was younger I yearned to be able to buy the best of everything. I learned to do a lot of window shopping. It was so nice to look at beautiful things in the stores. I developed a sense of living vicariously by dreaming of owning the best of everything. I believed I could “tell” when an item was the best of the best. With clothes you can look at the quality of the fabric and the tailoring. And, now you look for labels.
I love dishes. I remember being in New York City and visiting Tiffany’s. I went upstairs to the dish section to see what the rich and famous were buying. I still remember what I saw. There were plates with dragons on them! They came in several color choices. You could choose bright orange dragons or bright green dragons. I was stunned to realize that someone might want to eat dinner off a plate with a dragon looking back at them. Not me!

The quality of hearing aids is in the inside. The differences are in the computing power and programming of the hearing aids. Each technology level has limitations. The higher end technology has more capacity to process speech to give better clarity and understanding to the wearer.
The quality of a hearing aid can only be experienced by wearing it. Wearing hearing aids in different listening situations is the only way to experience how easy it is to understand speech. There is a federal law that allows for a thirty day trial period for hearing aids. With this law, it is possible to truly experience better hearing.
Sometimes you don’t need orange dragon plates and only need Corelle® for $30 for a 16- piece set. Sometimes the mid-level will be just what you need. I have learned that wanting the best and being able to afford the best are two different things. I have learned though that purchasing the best I can afford and need is the best choice I can make.
