I-93 Crash Makes For Messy Commute On Wilmington Side Streets

The crash was cleared around 9 am, but not before traffic started clogging side streets in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON, MA -- A truck rollover on Interstate 93 Southbound in Wilmington caused lots of commuter headaches Tuesday morning. But Wilmington Police said it wasn't just for drivers already on the highway; Wilmington residents heading to work Tuesday morning were confronted with heavy traffic on the town's streets as motorists tried to avoid the temporary closures on the highway.

The crash was cleared around 9 am, but Wilmington Police reported in a Twitter post that "many" roads in Wilmington were at a standstill. Traffic, both on the highway and on the Wilmington roads commuters were using as a bypass, had returned to normal conditions by 10 am.
