Wildcats use strong second half for third straight win.
After a slow start, things are coming together for the Wilmington boys basketball team.
The Wildcats started off the campaign at 0-3 and were forced to deal with the loss of star guard Vinny Scifo. But since then the team has won three straight, the latest coming on Tuesday night in a 60-50 decision over visiting Stoneham.
Tim McCarthy led Wilmington with 16 points, Cole Peffer drained 13 markers, and John Parsons chipped in 12 points of his own. Kyle Albanese worked hard in the paint and hauled in 13 rebounds in the win.
