Congratulations to Wilmington High School seniors, who graduated on Sunday.

After years of hard work, Wilmington High School's seniors finally reached the moment they've been waiting for as they walked across the stage at Alumni Stadium and received their diplomas.

In front of a full set of bleachers on and under a pristine sky on Sunday, the school held its graduation ceremonies.

Among those to address the graduates were Town Manager Michael Caira and Superintendent of Schools Joanne Benton. Principal Eric Tracy planned on giving a speech, but instead gave his time to Cody Nilsen, who played guitar and sang a song addressed to his senior classmates.

Valedictorian Katherine Aoki gave a well-spoken speech on the afternoon, as did salutatorian Linden Hayes. Essayist Lauren Cole, No. 3 academically in the class, was given an award as well.

Be sure to check back on Monday afternoon for a complete performance of Nilsen's song, "Four Year Fears," in addition to the sights of the day with a graduation video.
