Girls soccer team one win from playoffs.

With an easy win over visiting Watertown on Tuesday, the is now one victory away from somewhere it hasn't been in three years - the playoffs.

The Lady Wildcat offense was dominant during a 5-1 win that helped the team improve to 6-4-4 on the season. With a win in its final four games, the locals will clinch a spot in the postseason.

Alex Bischoff opened the scoring 10 minutes into play on a cross from Rachel Grabar. Then, midway through the opening half, Bischoff returned the favor with a perfectly placed pass to Grabar, who made the score 2-0.

Holly Niemiec continued her stellar season less than three minutes later when she pounded home a loose ball. Ashleigh Howland made it 4-0 heading into the intermission when she found herself in from of an open net just before halftime.

Wilmington continued to apply pressure in the second half and Howland put home another tally to open up a 5-0 edge.

The Wildcats hope to seal their playoff spot on Thursday on the road against Melrose. The two teams played to a draw earlier in the season.
