WHS field hockey team plays well after halftime, loses to Watertown.
The Wilmington High School field hockey team made a statement against perennial powerhouse Watertown, which hasn't lost in about two years. The problem was that statement didn't come until after halftime in a lopsided game.
Off to a 4-1 start to the season, the Wildcats looked to hand the unbeaten Raiders their first loss of the season. But Watertown cruised to a 5-0 halftime lead.
Still, the locals bounced back with an early goal after the intermission and outscored the visitors in the second half before eventually losing, 6-2.
