Eaton Wins Selectmen's Race In Wilmington Town Election

In the race that drew the most attention this election season, Jonathan Eaton defeated Rob Fasulo for an open seat on the board of selectmen

WILMINGTON, MA -- Jonathan Eaton defeated Rob Fasulo in a hotly-contested race for open seat on the board of selectmen in Wilmington's Annual Election Saturday. There were no surprises in the other election results, with incumbent Robert Peterson Jr. defeating challenger Kevin MacDonald for moderator. In a three way race for two seats on the school committee, incumbent M.J. Byrnes and newcomer David Ragsdale topped Jesse Fennelly.

Turnout was just over 2,600 voters. "It was slow and steady all day," Town Clerk Sharon George said, noting more voters voted this year than last despite Saturday's nice weather.

Unofficial vote totals are listed below. Winners are in boldface.
