Important Lowell Line Public Meeting Today
A public meeting will be held Wednesday for the work being done on the commuter rail line and how it affects you.

LOWELL, MA — The MBTA is holding a public meeting Wednesday to discuss work on the Lowell Commuter Rail line and alternative travel options in the meantime. The meeting will take place July 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mayor's Reception Room at Lowell City Hall.
What do I need to know?
From Aug. 5-Oct. 1, there will be no weekend service. A federally mandated safety upgrade will be implemented in the form of a control system.

So how do I get around?
The MBTA will provide shuttle buses on Saturdays and Sundays for the route of the Lowell line.

What exactly is the Lowell line?
The Lowell line goes from Lowell to Billerica, Wilmington, Woburn, Winchester, Medford, and Boston (North Station.)
Will weekday service be impacted?
No.
