Lowell Man Injured, Arrested After Wilmington Crash

Michael B. Saber, 38, of Lowell, is facing drug charges following Monday's crash.

WILMINGTON, MA -- A Lowell man is facing multiple charges after crashing his car into a traffic island on Industrial Way in Wilmington Monday morning. Police were called at 11:16 am for a report of a single-vehicle crash and told the driver was unconscious.

Michael B. Saber, 38, of Lowell, was transported to Winchester Hospital, where he was treated and released. Wilmington Police arrested Saber and charged him with OUI (drugs), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of class A drugs and a marked lanes violation.

Saber, a contractor, was arrested by Lowell Police in 2016 after being accused of stealing jewelry and cashing $8,000 in checks he stole from a home he was working on. Last June, Tewksbury Police arrested Saber for operating with a suspended license (subsequent offense).
