Maine Town Names Wilmington Police Officer Chief
Deputy Police Chief Robert Richter had been with the Wilmington Police Department for 33 years.
KITTERY, ME -- Kittery, ME Town Manager Kendra Amaral said Tuesday that Wilmington Deputy Police Chief Robert Richter will be the town's next chief of police. Richter has been with the Wilimington Police Department for 33 years.
"We thank Deputy Chief Richter for all he has done for the WPD as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, & Deputy Chief. We wish him all the best in his new position!" Wilmington Police said in a Facebook post.
Richter will step down from his post in Wilmington at the end of this week and begin work in his new position on November 26.
