Major Water Main Break Causes Traffic Delays Near Wilmington
BREAKING: A major water break in Woburn has caused traffic delays which could affect Wilmington residents traveling on Rte. 38.

WOBURN, MA — A major water main break on Rte. 38 near the Rte. 128 rotary in Woburn will likely cause heavy delays for the remainder of the day, which could affect Wilmington residents traveling to Woburn on Rte. 38.
Police received a report from a citizen to report bubbling of Rt. 38 (Main Street) near the Rt. 128 rotary. Crews soon determined that there was a significant break in a large water main that runs under the rotary, which itself runs under Rt. 128, according to an announcement from Police Chief Robert Ferullo.
According to an update from Woburn Police spokesman John Guilfoil, northbound traffic will be limited to one lane all day, and the southbound remains open. Woburn Police Chief Robert Ferullo also added that there are no road closures at this time, but residents should expect delays.

There is no impact on public drinking water systems due to the break.
