Memorial Day In Wilmington: What You need To Know

Patch has all the details on Memorial Day Ceremonies, plus what's open and closed on the May 28th holiday.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Monday, May 28, is Memorial Day, and the town will be hosting its events throughout the weekend. On Saturday at 8 am, there will be a decoration of Veterans’ graves at the Wildwood Cemetery. That will be followed by the decorating of other Veterans’ squares and memorials around Wilmington starting at 10:15 am.

On Sunday at 1:30 pm there will be a rededication ceremony on Wilmington Common. On Monday, the Wilmington Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10 am at the Market Basket parking lot. The parade proceeds down Main St, turns left onto Rte. 62 and concludes at the Wildwood Cemetery. There is a service at the cemetery at 11 am.

  • Mail: Express delivery only
  • Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
