Memorial Day In Wilmington: What You Need To Know

WILMINGTON, MA -- Monday, May 27, is Memorial Day, and the town has several events scheduled, beginning at 8:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2019 with the decoration of Veterans’ graves at the Wildwood Cemetery, followed by the decorating of all the Veterans’ squares and memorials starting at 10:15 am. There will be a rededication ceremony at the Veterans’ Monument on Town Common Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 1:30 pm.

Wilmington’s parade will step off from the Market Basket parking lot at 10:00 am sharp on Monday, May 27, 2019. The youth groups will form at Wilmington House of Pizza and will be placed in the parade by a parade official. The bands, Honor Guards and all the adult groups will meet at the Market Basket parking lot. The parade will head down Main Street, turn left on Route 62 (Church Street) and proceed to Wild wood Cemetery. The ceremony at the cemetery will start at 11:00 am sharp.

• Mail: Express delivery only
• Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
