Missing Wilmington Woman Found Safe

WILMINGTON, MA -- Friends of a Wilmington woman who was missing for 11 days said she was found safe Monday night. Kim Landry, 39, had last been seen on Feb. 28 and, aside from a single phone call to her parents on March 5, no one had heard from her until she was located Monday.

"They just found her a little while ago. She's safe, they have her," Landry's friend Robyn Unger said in a message to Patch early Tuesday morning. "Thank you so much for helping & caring."

Details of how Landry was found were not disclosed. In a message on Facebook, Wilmington Police thanked Lowell Police for their assistance in helping find Landry.

Landry's 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant was found in Lowell on Friday, and on Saturday the car was moved to a different location. Unger said Monday police were looking for volunteers to keep an eye on the car, as well as hand out fliers. Police also looked into a sighting of someone who matched Landry's description in Gardner on Friday.
