North Reading Man Arrested In Wilmington Gas Station Robbery

It was the second time in eight days that Michael David Tallini was arrested for robbery.

Wilmington Police arrested a North Reading man Monday after he allegedly robbed a Mobil gas station in Wilmington. Michael David Tallini, 32, of 20 Fieldcrest Terrace in North Reading is facing armed robbery charges stemming from the 4:44 p.m. incident at Sonny's Mobil On The Run at 316 Lowell Street near the Reading line.

North Reading Police arrested Tallini on Sept. 6 for a and charged him with unarmed robbery for a Sept. 3 robbery at the Speedway gas station at 231 Main Street in North Reading. In that incident, Tallini made away with an undisclosed amount of cash and was arrested after North Reading Police released surveillance video footage and asked the public for help in identifying the suspect.

On Monday, Tallini also made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Wearing baggy jeans, a black baseball cap and a hooded sweatshirt, Tallini allegedly fled the scene in a 2008 grey Jeep Grand Cherokee. He was apprehended a short time later after Wilmington police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert to state police and neighboring towns.

Wilmington Police officials were not immediately available for comment. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
