Outdoor Skating Rink Coming To Wilmington This Winter

WILMINGTON, MA -- The town will set up a seasonal, outdoor ice rink in Rotary Park off of Church Street in Wilmington. The 52' by 100' rink is expected to open in December and will be free to the public. Wilmington officials expect the reusable rink to cost about $6,000 when they order it later this month.

"I think it's going to be a great addition to the town -- a great opportunity for kids to get out during the wintertime and skate and enjoy the winter months," Selectman Kevin Caira told the Lowell Sun, which first reported this story.. "It's right across the street from Public Safety, so I think it's in a good location where there shouldn't be any types of problems in that regard."
