Parenting class

The Wilmington United Methodist Church is once again offering their popular and effective parenting class, “Active Parenting of Tweens and Teens.” This is a great class for parents with children ages 10-16. The class runs for five weeks on Sunday mornings starting February 1st at 10:15 a.m. in Room 2-5 at the church. This interactive video series will give you the guidance and support you need to turn the challenges of raising a teenager into opportunities for growth. You will learn methods of respectful discipline; skills for clear, honest communication; strategies to prevent risky behavior, and ways to be an encouraging parent. (If there are parents interested in parenting classes for younger age children, please let us know and we will try to arrange for a workshop for your target age group.)
