In the Major League championship series, the A's won the first game over the White Sox in a nail-biter and held on for a 9-6 win in the second game to seal the title.
After a hard fought final series, the A's edged the White Sox to be crowned Wilmington Little League Major League Division champions on Saturday afternoon.
The teams played into the seventh inning on Game One before the A's snuck away with a 8-7 victory. Then on Saturday, the A's pounced out to a four run first inning and an 8-1 lead before fighting off a furious White Sox rally to earn the title with a 9-6 decision.
