Police Log: Road Violence and a Coffee Shop Arrest

The following is an excerpt from the log from Friday, June 22 to Sunday, June 24.
Friday, June 22
6:48 a.m.: Officers arrested Gerald F. Ahern, 44, of 20 Clark Street, in Wilmington, on an outstanding warrant.

7:26 a.m.: Police arrived at Oakdale Road and returned to the station with Stephen M. Silva, 21, of 20 Wisser Street in Wilmington, under arrest for an outstanding warrant.
10:22 a.m.: Wlliam Oikle, 57, of 26 Fairmeadow Road in Wilmington, arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.

11:05 a.m.: A Deming Way resident reported that possible threats were made against her and her family that were posted on Facebook. Police determined that there were no threats made in the posts.
1:16 p.m.: On Glen Road a teenage male appeared to be staggering. Officers located the male who appeared to be intoxicated. He left in the custody of his mother.
2:28 p.m.: A man entered a Glen Road home and assaulted another party before being restrained. The was called to the scene and transported one party.
7:03 p.m.: Police confiscated alcohol from a minor on Main Street.
9:10 p.m.: Officers confiscated alcohol from two minors on Main Street, and about 10 minutes later from another pair with a fake ID.
Saturday, June 23
2:07 a.m.: A male party on foot in the area of Lowell Street appeared to be intoxicated, described as wearing a suit. The man was taken into protective custody.
10:11 a.m.: On Deming Way, a resident in a motorized scooter was stuck at a bad angle in his house. Neighbors assisted before police arrival.
11:13 a.m.: An Allen Park Drive caller said he was just struck by a white work van with a black roof rack and wood on the top. He was struck by the passenger's side mirror and the window on the side panel door of the same side. The incident was over work being done at the house. The caller declined medical attention, but does have multiple lacerations on his arm. The station officer made contact with the driver, who said the caller smashed out his window with his hand.
1:01 p.m.: On Route 129, a female caller reported that a blue truck exited Glen Road at Route 38 and almost struck her vehicle. Then the caller said the other driver exited his vehicle and yelled at her. The involved driver called police back and spoke with the station officer regarding his driving habits.
2:06 p.m.: A employee said that an employee with a company that works with mentally challenged children was striking one of the children in the store. Police spoke with the caller who looked at the security tapes. It appeared the client was being aggressive with a staff member and the staff member was holding him off. Officers spoke to two supervisors who said two clients were in an altercation and staff members calmed them down.
9:35 p.m.: Callers reported that fireworks were being set off in the parking lot at . Police spoke to the homeowners responsible and they were advised to stop.
Sunday, June 25
2:06 a.m.: Police stopped a vehicle on I-93 North and arrested Wisly Abel, 26, of 8 Park Street, Apt. 8 in Haverhill, for an outstanding warrant.
7:41: A Starbucks employee reported a possibly intoxicated male who threw garbage inside and outside the store. Police arrested Ravindra Dev, 24, of 38 Wood Road in Pelham, N.H., for operating a motor vehicle and refusing to identify herself, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
11:13 a.m.: A Mass Ave. caller reported a road rage incident during which a driver assaulted another driver and fled toward Glen Road. Police went to Shawsheen Ave. to speak with the driver who was assaulted.
7:27 p.m.: On Everett Ave. a resident believes foxes are living in an abandoned house on Beeching Ave. and her daughter was just growled at by one. Police were unsure if the foxes are living there, but the Animal Control Officer was called to look into it.
9:59 p.m.: A King Street a caller reported two males outside arguing after a possible crash and they left in what appeared to be a light colored truck. A second caller reported a white truck with a red cap seen traveling down King Street toward Broad Street possibly hit a street sign. William F. Murphy, Jr., 50, of 18 Crescent Street in Wilmington, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of an accident.
