Possible Threat Written on Wilmington Middle School Wall

Wilmington Superintendent of Schools Mary C. DeLai alerted middle school parents about a threat written on a bathroom at Wilmington Middle School on Tuesday.

DeLai sent this notice to parents on Tuesday aftenroon:

“Just prior to the close of school, Wilmington Middle School officials were notified by a student that there was a threat written on a bathroom wall at the school. The bathroom has been secured and the School Resource Officer and the Wilmington Police are working with school officials to identify any potential suspects.

“ All necessary precautions will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. Anyone who has pertinent information is encouraged to come forward. School will operate as usual tomorrow. Activities planned for the middle school this afternoon or evening will take place as scheduled.”
