Police Exposed To Fentanyl At Wilmington Public Safety Building
Four officers were exposed to a "white powdery substance" while booking a Reading man Thursday.
WILMINGTON, MA — Four Wilmington police officers were transported to the hospital after exposure to fentanyl while booking a suspect Thursday afternoon, officials said. Wilmington Fire and the District 6 Hazmat team secured the scene.
The exposure occurred while police were booking 31-year-old John Moses of Reading. Officers responded to the report of a suspicious man in the area of Jefferson Road, and Moses was arrested and charged with breaking and entry into a motor vehicle in the daytime.
While officers were booking him, they were exposed to a "white powdery substance." The officers were treated at Winchester Hospital and released.

Moses also faces an additional charge of Possession of a Class A Substance at Woburn District Court.
