Previewing the Wildcats' Week

A look at upcoming Wilmington High School games.

After a day off to start the week, teams gear up for another busy week with a combination of road an home games in upcoming days.

On Tuesday, the basketball teams host a doubleheader against Belmont. First, the hits the court with a 5:30 contest. Then at 7 p.m., the boys team looks to bounce back from a second straight one-point loss, which they .

The boys hockey team is also looking to bounce back as they take to the ice of on Wednesday. Belmont comes to town to battle the Wildcats, with puck dropping at 8 p.m.

In addition, the travels to Belmont at 5 p.m., the track teams take part in the Middlesex League Individual Championship Meet at the Reggie Lewis Field House in Boston and the grapples in Reading at 7 p.m.

On Friday, both basketball teams are back in action with road tilts. The girls tip off at 5:30 p.m. in Arlington before the boys battle the same foe at 7 p.m.

Saturday is a busy day as well, with road games scheduled in addition to a girls hockey matinee game. The Lady Wildcats host Arlington at 2:30 p.m.

In addition, some individual members of the track team may be in action in Boston as well with the Coaches Invitational Qualifying event. Also, the wrestling team travels to a tri-meet against Shepard Hill and Watertown, and the boys hockey team skates into Arlington for a 6 p.m. game.
