Pro Athletes Teach Young Wilmington Players

Lacrosse professionals Dan Dawson and Zack Greer helped teach Wilmington Youth Lacrosse players during a recent event.

There's no better way to be the best than to learn from the best. Wilmington Youth Lacrosse players had the chance to do just that last week.

Players attended an end of season barbecue and clinic that was taught by professional lacrosse players Dan Dawson and Zack Greer.

Dawson is one of the most prolific offensive players to ever take the field in indoor lacrosse. He was captain of the Boston Blazers for three seasons and now plays for the Philadelphia Blazers in the National Lacrosse League, earning league MVP in 2009.

Greer plays for the Edmonton Rush of the NLL after a stellar career at Duke University and Bryant University. He ranks as one of the top goal and point scorers in Division I history.

Both players showed off skills and trick shots, talked to the young players about how to improve their game on the field, and signed autographs following the session.
