Rain Already Impacting Week for Wildcats

Postponements aplenty but a busy week still ahead.

Though rainouts have already impacted this week's schedule, the upcoming days are busy ones for Wilmington High School teams.

All seven games slated for Monday were postponed because of soggy conditions. Here is a look at what the rest of the week looks like for the Wildcats.

Tuesday, April 24

  • Wilmington's girls tennis team welcomes Reading to town with a match starting at 3:30 p.m.
  • The girls lacrosse team is also at home, hosting Wakefield with a 4 p.m. opening face off.
  • Meanwhile, the takes to the road and battles Wakefield at 4 p.m.
  • The Wildcat boys tennis team travels to Reading, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 25

  • Just one local team is in action at home on Wednesday. The boys tennis team hosts Stoneham at 3:30 p.m.
  • On the road, the plays Melrose. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
  • Melrose hosts Wilmington in softball action, taking to the diamond at 3:30 p.m.
  • The girls tennis team is also on the road in a tilt against Stoneham at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 26

  • Both spring track teams are at home Thursday. The boys and girls squads host Melrose at 3:30 p.m.
  • Wilmington's boys lacrosse team faces off against Burlington at home at 3:45 p.m.
  • The Lady Wildcat lacrosse team plays a road tilt against Burlington at 4:30 p.m.

Friday, April 28

  • A pair of teams play home games to close out the week. The boys tennis team takes on Watertown at 3:30 p.m.
  • Wilmington's girls lacrosse team hosts Melrose at 3:45 p.m.
  • On the road, the girls tennis team hits against Watertown at 3:30 p.m.
  • The Lady Wildcats' softball team squares up against Wakefield. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
  • Also on the field is the Wilmington baseball team, set for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch on the road against Wakefield.
